Freelance Artist

This past year I have found my art taking me to new personal levels, stretching me physically, mentally, and spiritually. It has been most rewarding as projects where completed and warmly received and enjoyed. Whether painting an oil derrick to drawing an illustration for a book, the outcome of achieving large projects encourages me to continue on this wild adventure.

   The Dark Tree is my latest achievement. It is composed of a mostly black and white oil palette. I added multiple layers of paint to attain a rich textured feel. While searching for inspiration I came across multiple photos in black and white. I was greatly impacted by the texture and depth portrayed by those pictures and wished to achieve that in one of my paintings.
