Questions May Drift

For this  oil painting I used a combination of warm and cool coloring to create a unique fall setting. For this particular scene I wanted to pull your eye to the foreground letting the focus fall unto, the winding red tree and the softly flowing books and pages below. The background I left simple. Using only greys, rusts, and creams in soft long brushstrokes, I was able to give it an almost abstracted feel of movement or rain. I wanted this painting to represent a calm and crisp autumn afternoon  filled with cool breezes, fantastical stories, and maybe a slight mist to refresh the spirit.
